I was supposed to go on a hike this morn but the rains came and I was awoken around dark o’clock, it was either that or my bladder.

The sound of the rain falling was very soothing and it was not long before I was soon back in the land of nod. Radio 4 came to life around 6:30am and so after a couple of snoozes I got up for breakfast.
The messages from the rest of the group came through thick and fast to say that the trip was cancelled. The rain by this time had eased but I knew that the trail would be deadly to walk on after this much rain and so any further thoughts of going were quickly extinguished.
So what to do when the rain is pissing down? Well I thought I would go for an early lunch before the rush and fuel up on some beef and veggies at the Muslim restaurant. I was first in and the food was freshly cooked and delicious.
After finishing me brunch I wandered up to the Suzhou Centre to have coffee. There are many large coffee chains reducing their prices to a more civilised 15 rmb, from the usual 25 rmb and so I went to Wegas to sit and watch the world go by until I decide what to do next.
There are many things that I should be doing, like studying Chinese but I’m too lazy. I could prepare for my classes this week but I don’t want to. I could write more on my blog, I’m trying. I’ve read all the news I want to read. Trump is still fucking up the world. Teresa May has finally been sacrificed to appease the masses but if her successor thinks it will be an easy ride then they have another thing coming. And so after my coffee I will head to one of the galleries nearby and see if there is a new exhibition.

So part two, I went to one of the local galleries but I’m afraid that what was on offer today held little interest for me but here are a few of the better ones.

My umbrella has seen better days and because I’ve had to use it today it’s getting a little tired so I went to Decathlon to see what was on offer. Not much as it turned out, the place was hoachin and so I about turned and came home.
So it’s now around three o’clock and I think it’s time for more coffee and then maybe I’ll have a snooze. A lazy Sunday afternoon indeed.
