On Saturday morning I headed to Rockhampton to catch up with friends James and Jess, this is my first trip to Rockhampton in over 20 years. Last time I was here I got a lecture from an ex, where she happily told me what she thought of me and she said that if I didn’t change my ways I’ll always be loser….. Charming…. However she was right…..

I’m thinking of moving here and so I’ve come up here to see how I feel about the place and to look around at houses. On Friday I got an email from my insurance company and they said that my premium has doubled since last year, I can’t afford $3400 a year so it’s time to leave Ipswich behind.

The drive was good, I left at 6:30 am and arrived at 16:30. I haven’t driven this far in years and I was a bit worried about how I would be but I really enjoyed the drive and the old Ford did just grand.

On Sunday James and Jess took me for a drive to Yeppoon and around Rockhampton so that I could see the lay of the land, I really like what I have seen so far and I’m looking forward to getting back to set the wheels in motion.
