Last weekend so many people cut their lawns, that it polluted the atmosphere with all that wonderful stuff that irritates my nose. The waterfall exiting from my left nostril in particular was steady and irritating to say the least. It was not long before I had a nose that would have put Rudolph to shame.

I have suffered allergies for years, dust, cats, stupid people and nature when it begins to get smelly. I like the smell of freshly cut grass but it is absolutely deadly to my sinuses. This time my sinuses across the bridge of my nose felt that they were about to explode which in turn seemed to affect my vision ever so slightly. My eyes have been really dry lately and I have been using Systane eye drops for a few months now which do help, but this weekend I have had all sorts of bother. I went home from work early yesterday and then went for a snooze for most of the afternoon, then had an early night. This morning I feel a lot better and my eyes do feel better but not 100%. Tomorrow I will go to see my Optician just to get things looked at in case I have picked up an eye infection.

I sit in air conditioning all day and it really dries me out. The weather is turning cooler now but the air conditioning is still working as if it is a 40c day outside. I do not think it is very good for mind or body and I think that it is contributing to the dry eyes issue.

Since I returned last year from China, I have had more ailments than I had in the previous four years. In China, I caught the cold maybe three times. Once was because I got a chill sitting on a bus where the air con was set to Baltic. The outside temperature was close to 40c and because I had been hiking, I was soaked in sweat and then nearly froze to death on the bus.

Not really sure why my health has been pestered with these minor ailments, maybe they are down to the environment, maybe they are stress related, food related or maybe it is just old age, although I still think that stupid people are partly to blame too. Either way I hope that I can get through this current event as quickly as possible.

I really think that I am allergic to work……….
